iScan2BIM from CHiLX.ai is an AI-powered, robotics-driven, VR-enhanced and AWS cloud-integrated solution for BIM-based rapid digital twinning which is a result of 5-years R&D supported by Singapore’s National Research Foundation since 2018.
iScan2BIM can handle most of the point cloud forms generated by terrestrial or drone-mounted LiDAR scanners, or converted from photogrammetry as long as the data quality is reasonably good. iScan2BIM outputs BIM structure as well as Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) in IFC 4.0 international standard. Compared to manual based BIM conversion from point cloud, iScan2BIM is able to save about 80% conversion time and cost. In terms of data size, converted BIM IFC is less than 0.1% of its corresponding point cloud.
